It's a hidden gem that I love. It's peaceful, quiet and I feel very safe. Due to a onsite FWC officer is there. I have been coming here for years and it's never changed.
Great place to unwind from the world 🌎 for a bit🐊😌. Not much to it, that's kinda adds to it's appeal. Party/convention Hall for rent. Boardwalks and boat docks available. Fishing, bird watching, and nature abundant. Worth checking out …
The cabins here are AWESOME! For $33 a night the Cabin is air conditioned, there's a full size fridge and freezer, a full size kitchen sink, a bathroom with a big shower. 4 beds with 8 mattresses (so you can pull them off and put people on the floor if you have more than 4 people). Camping grill outside. Parking is a little tight. I wish there was a burn pit. The only real down side is that the walls are thin so you heart EVERYTHING going on next door. But for you price you can't go wrong!
Bethesda Park was a very nice, quiet, relaxing place for the family. We booked all four cabins on a Fri-Mon. Perfect spot to unplug but still in the middle of a city. Easy access to local grocery stores, etc. The cabins are great! It meets basic needs (bathroom, bunk beds (sleeps 4), stove & fridge) not equipped with kitchen utensils or linens. Shared attached back patios for each paired cabins. All the cabins does have a heating & air window unit. There are also a grill in front of every cabin. Choose Cabin 3 & 4 if you want the lake view. Hope this helps. I was searching for these details as I was looking into booking the cabins, but found very few posts and pics of this place. The person that works in the office is also very pleasant and helpful, she gave me a lot of information beforehand. There is a hiking trail around the lake, you may want to have proper shoes for this hike, it’s not a bad hike just probably more comfortable if you have the proper footwear to do it in. Overall it was a very beautiful place to spend some quiet time with the family. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.
Surprise surprise…. While driving to the entrance and then around the corner what a beautiful hidden gem of a park. Not real fancy but beautiful for a nice walk in the woods. Should get some inmates to pick up the trash along the paths though .
One of the most beautiful parks in the city! Great fishing spot with a huge lake, huge fishing dock, and a few lakeside gazebo's. There's a short boardwalk trail into the woods and a dirt walking trail completely around the lake. The option to drive thru the woods is unique and offers more secluded areas for fishing, picnicking, etc.
Great place to go fishing, kayak, or just get out in nature.
Not a walking park. A very very short wooden path. A couple picnic tables and gazebo. Mainly a place to fish. Very swampy. A nice place to sit by the water, but definitely not for a walking trail. It looks more like a camp area. You hear fish jumping! Make sure you bring your mosquito spray.
